For Letter K today, we read Katy No Pocket by Emmy Payne (on of my favorite books to act out with the class!!)
This book is perfect for the whole class to get involved in retelling! At the end, we even talk about the sequence of the story: First Middle Last which helps with reading and writing skills!
By asking questions such as What happened First? Next? Last?, your child's comprehension skills will increase. Try asking questions when reading aloud to your children at home!! And if possible... grab a stuffed animal as a prop to go with the story... it makes it SO much fun for your child to snuggle up to while listening to the story!
We have also been learning about our numbers... Today was #2 day. We have been learning to recognize the number and to represent the number with objects such as blocks or dots on a die.

We played a game where we roll the die and every time you roll the number 2, you get to add 2 blocks to your tower....
