Halloween Painting!!

We had SO much fun painting Halloween pictures!!

We used our SHAPES to create our own Haunted Houses, then used water colors to add some color!

Patterned after the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear", we made our own book of Halloween colors with Halloween Spooks!

I love the way they illustrated these books.

I have so many more photos to share!!

Driving race cars through the paint!

As we drive our cars through the paint and drive them over our papers we say the R sound!! It makes for a super fun /r/ practice! What a TRICKY TRICKY sound

With Letter R, we wanted to talk a little about Restaurants so we had a "Community Helper" come into the class.... complete with a {oh so real sounding} Italian Accent! 

Today, Chef Kelly taught us how to make Pizza!!

 He had the kids' attention captivated once he threw that dough up in the air!!
The kids were giggling the entire time!

While we waited, Chef Kelly told us a Italian Fable..... it was FANTASTIC!!

Special Visitor

For Letter R day, we had a special visitor.....

Meet RAIN!!

What a fun Show and Tell!

We got to learn all about taking care of a dog! We learned she needs food and water every day and she also needs to go on lots of walks! 

Q Detectives

Today was Letter Q day, and what better way to celebrate the letter Q than with our snuggly QUILTS!!

Oh how much fun we had snugglying up with our favorite blankets, reading and listening to stories, 

 We then transformed into DETECTIVES! We wore letter Q mice around our necks to help us to be sneaky and went on a Q hunt! 

 We found so many hidden Q words around the classroom!

We helped each other find the ones that were REALLY sneaky!

 Our magnifying glasses helped us find the tiniest clues!

Because were were all Quiet as a Mouse, we got a fun CHEESY snack after our Q hunt!

OCEANS, POPCORN AND PAJAMAS!

To celebrate letter O, we learned about the OCEAN....

There's the ocean floor and the open water.... such beautiful crayon resist paintings were made!!

We're onto number 6!!

We played another dice game.... roll the die, and mark which number we rolled.

Great game for number recognition!

 To celebrate the Letter P, we all wore our PAJAMAS!! 

Look how cute they are!!

 We popped POPCORN the "old fashioned way".... we used our 5 senses while it was popping! Listening, smelling, smelling, seeing, hearing, and then tasting!!

 Using our 5th sense.... TASTE!! YUM YUM!!
