New Friends!

My hair is washed, my sneakers squeak,
I'm so excited, I can hardly speak!
New things to do, new friends to meet--
Hooray! It's the first day of school!

What fun we've had the first 2 days of school!!
We are making new friends, and already learning so much!!

We've been learning about ourselves and about our feelings! Sometimes emotions run WILD when starting a new year of school and meeting new friends, so it helps to recognize those feelings!

Self Portraits!! Couldn't be more ADORABLE!!!

We LOVE Puzzles
Puzzles are a great way to develop hand-eye coordination, they also help us with shape recognition, and help develop problem-solving skills!

Name Mosaics!
We are learning about the letters of our name! This was a fun activity to build fine motor skills, familiarize ourselves with the letters in our name, and to get gooey glue all over us!!

We are having fun making new friends!!

Graphing!
I introduced Graphing to the kiddos today by using our bodies! We sorted and graphed our bodies by clothing, hair color, eye color, and even toe nail polish!

Name Puzzles!
To help us recognize that our name has individual letters in it that belong in a particular place, we made our own name puzzles!
After cutting them apart, we had to figure out the right way to put them back together.

We are already learning SO much and having fun while we are at it!!

We had such a FUN day in preschool today! We followed clues around the classroom and learned about Red Rooster's Rules! Building puzzles, singing songs, and meeting new friends made time fly SO fast! Crayons, glue, and pencils helped us to create fun projects, and we even made time for some dramatic play!

What are the letters in my name?

Look at those FINE MOTOR SKILLS!!
Coordination between hand and eye is one of the basic skills a child needs to master --- good thing it's a WHOLE lot of fun!!

Everything is more fun with a friend!

Our Lemonade Stand!
That must be some GOOD lemonade! Just look at that line!!
