Closed for a "Season"....

My preschool will be closed for the next while.  My babies are only little once - and I've decided to spend every extra  time and efforts I have- with them!  

Teaching is truly a passion of mine. I walk into my empty preschool room and miss your cute little ones. But I am even more passionate about my own children! They are amazing. They are funny, fun, loving, silly, witty, clever, sneaky, needy, clingy, and little stinkers at times- and I love each one of them! I was put on this Earth to raise a family and be a mother. I am certain that my education I have received and the experiences I have had as an educator have helped me develop stronger qualities as a mother. I am proud to be a mother. I would not have it any other way.

So if you will excuse me, I must go read my kids a bedtime story while they snuggle on my lap (before they get too big for my lap)! 

TWO FANTASTIC MUSICIANS CAME TO VISIT US!!

We were so lucky to have Evelyn and Richard come as community helpers to our school!!

These MUSICIANS were awesome! They had SO MANY different instruments for the kids to see and even try out!

Our musicians taught us about Staccato, Allegro, Piano, and Forte!

The kids got to keep a beat while Evelyn sang and Richard played:

We discovered what an amazing singing voice Evelyn has!! So much talent!

We couldn't believe how big this double bass was!! It was huge compared to the kids (and adults!), and they each got a turn to try making a sound!

We practiced using our question words and asked our guests about how they learned to play the instruments and why they enjoyed playing them. 

We learned that Richard is incredibly talented too- teaching himself how to play pretty much ANY instrument!!

It was AWESOME hearing him play!

Symmetry

We learned about Symmetry today!!

We looked at pictures of nature and found that symmetry is found all around us! 

We played "My Turn, Your Turn" to build symmetrical designs:

We even created our own symmetrical paintings!!

Spring is Here!!

We went on a SPRING hunt and a BUG hunt!

and we discovered many fun things!!

We drew observational drawings as we were on our hunt!
