Seasons and Weather

S is for Silly Socks!!

 S is for Seasons!

We learned about the 4 seasons and about how trees (and other plants) and animals and people change with the seasons.

W is for Weather and Wind!
We became Scientists today! We made predictions on what the wind could move and then tested our hypothesis!
We explored some more, and recorded our findings in our science journals!

Which kind of weather do you like the most?!

Worms and Weather!

After we WIGGLED like WORMS, we made some MUD of our own!!
Everyone got to help make our mud even muddier!
Now.... it's time to EAT!!!
(we had another one of those "Teacher, I can't eat dirt or worms" moments!! haha! They keep my laughing all day long!)
What good lookin' CHEFS I have in their Red Rooster Aprons!
We really got into the "Eating the muddy worms" idea!! Look at these silly kids!
Making W's with their worms and their fingers!

In addition to WORMS, We also learned about the WEATHER today!

We are all going to be checking the weather for the week and graphing it's changes! Hopefully this Fall Weather will give us some fun results!

Did you know that those clouds were made up of tiny water droplets?!

We made our own Weather Mobiles to help us know what kind of weather to look for!

Next, we played a fun science game called:
this game had EVERYONE giggling!

We discovered that not all wind is equal. Wind comes in different strengths! If an object is heavier than the wind, it will not move, but if the object is lighter than the wind, it will move!

We also discovered that if we blew from the top, the heavy objects did not move. But if we blew from the side or underneath it, and had a strong wind, they would move!

What a W-W-Wonderful Day!!
