E is for....

E is for ELIAS the ELEPHANT!!

We heard a great story about Elias the bossy bossy Elephant! 

Luckily, by the end of the story, Elias learned that it's much better to share and to be kind!

 We had fun using these props to RETELL this story!!

Hey Diddle Diddle....

...the cat and the fiddle.

The cow jumped over the moon!

The little dog laughed to see such sport

and the dish ran away with the spoon!

We had so much fun with dishes and spoons today!

We predicted how many spoonfuls of water it would take to fill this dish....

We painted dishes with spoons.... what a fun way to paint!!!

 It was fun to review colors and what happens when we mixed them!!!

Afterward, we had spoon relay races outside!

 We acted out the nursery rhyme with props!

Circles, Circles, Circles!

Did you know that we can find SHAPES ALL AROUND US??!

Today we learned about CIRCLES!

To start out the day, we made circle chains with pipe cleaners.... um, no one could ever find a cooler "zipper-pull"... which they all turned out to be!

Later on, we made our own snack with circles! Crank out those fine motor skills, and get to work!

We have so many fun friends!!

"Ring Around the Rosies", anyone?! Look at that circle shape we made with our bodies!

We then put on our aprons and PAINTED WITH CIRCLES!!

 We learned there are so many items in our homes that are in the shape of a circle!

 Jars, lids, toilet paper rolls, oranges, and even lego tops!

One of our favorite things to paint circles with was: BUBBLE WRAP! How fun is that?!

CELEBRATING #12 IN THE YEAR 2012!!

 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 

WELCOME 2012

What better way to bring in the year 2012 than by celebrating the #12?!

Number 12 was our LUCKY number all day long! 

 Building 12, making 12, counting 12, writing 12, stamping 12, sorting 12, hopscotching 12, eating 12..... so many ways to celebrate 12!!

A giant thanks to my awesome husband for building our hopscotch!!

 The kids would have been content playing hopscotch ALL.DAY.LONG!!!!

We eventually took a little break and played in our NEW DRAMATIC PLAY CENTER!!!
